Privacy fence and burglars?

Is it true that a privacy fence makes it easy for burglars to rob the house?

Whatever type fence keeps "prying eyes" out of your yard, also protects burglars from being seen doing their thing. A thief will rob you if they have a strong enough will to do so. I do agree that they don't like lighting.

Install motion-sensor lights around the perimeter of your house. The one thing burglars and skulkers hate the most is light.

If they can scale the fence they're in without any of the neighbors seeing a thing. Just my thought.
