Yup! More dead in Iraq than were killed in NYC on 9/11. Seems like every time somebody figures out what Bush&Co. are up to the reason for being in Iraq changes. First the invasion of Iraq to find and destroy weapons of mass destruction, (weren't any) then the hunt for terrorists and Saddam Hussain, (armed coup de etat of a foreign gov't) then more terrorists, ("They hate us for our freedom!") then to help with the civil war... It goes on and on. The fact that the "war" is over merely means that soldiers who have been there and know what to look out for are finishing their toursof duty, and more "unblooded" Reserve forces are sent to replace them. Now staff genrals are covering up deaths by friendly fire and awarding medals to help in the cover-ups. What's next? Congress votes to cut money for the "un-war" and Bush makes threats. He made a serious error in judgement by starting the mess, and hopes to extend it into the next president's lap. The young and bravest of their generation are dying and the old men are making money from those deaths. Why is it allowed to go on? Experts whosay anything against the Bush regime are nay-said and ignored or called "Liberals". What difference does it make "who" said it? Does it change the truth?

Because this country is strictly for the views of the minority. It would offend a very small group of people if the troops were brought home. Sick sad world. But hey, who do we have to blame? And why should we HAVE to rebuild. Give them the resources, let them take control.

I agree that we need to bring our troops home. But unfortunately our president is an idiot. He thinks we need to stay "until the job is finished". I say **** Bush and his motto. We need to pull out now and say "bye". We got rid of Saddam, we gave you an election. What more do you want? Iraq needs to get it's act together.

We defeated Saddam's army. That creates a vacuum until the new leadership can take over and the new security forces can be trained and take charge.

Boy do I get tired of explaining this. Why is military victory so repugnant to the democrats?

The beginning phases of the war were a wild success, to take that away from the troops is really not fair. However, the aftermath is indeed a disaster.

Because the conservatives are saying that the war is not over, contrary to what the Commander-in-Chief says.
Bush has changed his mind again and again.
He's not ready to leave because, well, the oil wells have not been tapped.

So the real question is: What does winning the war means?
What defines it?
Do you have to see Wal-Mart and Toys "R" Us in Baghdad before the troops are allowed to leave?

OK, I'm typing slowly for you slack-jawed Liberals.

The Mission was to remove Saddam from power. Mission accomplished.

Now we have to help rebuild the country he let rot for thirty years.

Was that slow enough for you?

And how many people in the US have died due to drinking and driving? About 17,000 a year. So your point is?

Funny how you keep forgetting about the 4,000 who died when Billybob was President, and he did nothing about that at all.
