It is their own fault,to have missed such a competitive event. They have let themselves and their country down due to lack of keenness.
It is good to the extent it will awaken the respective cricket Boards and the sponsors/media to introspect where they went wrong.

It IS a tournament. It's hardly the organiser's fault if India and Pakistan are knocked out, is it? India lost badly to both Sri Lanka and Bangladesh, and therefore don't have any divine right to be in the Super Eights. As for Pakistan, serves them right for losing to West Indies and Ireland.

And as for your statement about the empty seats, well what do you expect if the World Cup organisers are pricing the local fan out of the market? Sure, Indian and Pakistani supporters would most likely fill them up, but, to be perfectly frank, their teams were downright hopeless and they got exactly what they deserved.

What u say may be true in terms of sponsors or the money involved in the ad-business. But, looking at the cricketing angle, The DAVIDS of Ireland and Bangladesh have taught an unforgettable lesson to the GOLIATHS (Pakistan and India). And shamefully, these two countries seem to be the top 2 countries whose heads have to be hung in shame for their "match fixing" murky deals and the like. So, A world cup without India and Pakistan would be really a cricket match without any "fixings" and hence would be played in the right earnest !

not really, thats not a gentelman's truth, game is a game and whoever is playing you should appreciate the game,

there are a lot better teams than pakistan and india, and it has proven,

if they were so good why did they get involved with all the **** in this world,

ok if there was pakistan and india in the tournament it could be a bit more interesting but it doesnt make any difference whatsoever not being in, in this tournament,

so please being a true sports fan dont think like that,

as being a pakistani by myself it does feel a bit different but again we should not be sarcastic,

and should accept the truth,

hope you understand what i mean

have a great day

In any tournament maximum spectactors will be from the host country. There are lot of Indians in West Indies and as such when India plays it generates lot of interest and attendance to watch the match will be quite high. Since India have been knocked out from the tournament and as West Indies are also not faring well, the attendance has come down drastically.

Its a pity to see here that cricket, a game of continued symbol of Indian subjugation to the British, is being celebrated as a popular game by both India & Pakistan.

Traditional games are neglected for a sport like cricket which symbolises laziness & controversies of all kinds. Lets ban cricket from both India & Pakistan forever and bring back active and manly games like Hockey, Football & Basket Ball.

Really sad about Pakistan's early departure.ICC was very harsh about Afridi.ICC never punish Australians or South Africans.Only Asians.Bad luck was also around them. They missed Razzaq too.

India should take the responsibility of their own departure. With very experienced bunch of players they lost to young Bangladeshi's.
