While math skills are important, they are not absolutely required. Curiosity and persistance are far more important. Basic skills in math, plus knowledge of where to go to get math help (friends, reference materials, etc.) will help you manage just fine. If it makes you feel better, I've worked with professional scientists who had appallingly bad math skills, but who did just fine in their careers.

if you love scienc, then you would have to be ok withmath. Math is the language of science. Physics is nothing more than applied math. Maybe you need to get a liitle depth in your study of science and you will what it really is. If you dont loke math, science is not you thing.

Some branches of science require more patience and meticulous attention to detail. Archaeology, for example.

Having said that, the only reason your math is poor is probably a combination of bad teachers and your own phobia.

In order to have a successful career as a scientist one must master higher mathematics, since math is an integral part of science.

Yes, if you are a conceptual thinker. I've always been adequate at best in math, but I am very good with hands on stuff, and I am very good at conceptual and abstract thinking. That being said, I have to put extra effort in learning math because it is absolutely necessary...but, the fact that I am not a genius at math hasn't diminished my ability to be a very productive engineer.

Depends on the type of science. All sciences have various amounts and level of mathematics in them. A botanist, for example, would have much less math that, say, a chemist.
