36x^2 + 144 = (6x)^2 + 12^2 = ( 6x +12i)(6x - 12i)

use the identity (a+b)squared(sq)=asq+bsq+2ab

theefore
36x sq +114
=(6x) sq + 12 sq

thus the factors are (6x+12) (6x+12)
