The Israelis are a a nation without a state apart from the land that Lord Balfour gave them just after the second world war, this gave birth to the Jewish Nation and since the acquired that land their main purpose has been to acquire more and more of the Arab land. To help them on their way America gave them the Hydrogen bomb (presumably to eliminate their neighbours). Of course The rest of the Arab nations have now caught up with Israel in the Technology stakes and are unhappy that Israel has this facility to do away with any Arab Nation that gets in its way. Israel has a better Army and air force than we do and when we fought the Argentineans over the Falklands was the nation supplying the Argentinians with Exocet Missiles, that caused many of the deaths of our servicemen. None of the Arab states are happy with the prospect of a H bomb being dropped on them and quite rightly wish to have a deterrent themselves. I do not agree that they should and accept the concern the Allies have over this issue yet I also share the Arabs concern over Israel having the H bomb so perhaps a way out for everybody is to remove Israels right to have the H bomb also. Unfortunately because of the Holocaust the Jewish community appear to be beyond criticism and it is my opinion that unless this changes the Arabs will always resent the way they are being treated by the allies.

UK has had an ongoing war of words with Iran [Persia] for the past one hundred years. Nothing new there then. We've spent much of that time dancing around each other, pulling faces and saying rude words.

Nothing has changed and nothing will change. UK does not like Iran - period!

Terrible, I feel Iran is telling the most truthful side of the story.

The US is coercing the UK into it's slander campaign against Iran.
Same thing with Iraq, you have to get the populace to rally behind you to invade countries.
So you make up stories, or take existent events and slap them accross all the government controlled newspapers, in massive titles.
And some of you seem to forget the UK/US policy of do as I say not as I do.
They have been holding 5 Iranian diplomats since JANUARY!

All this because of 2 NY buildings being demolished? Who do you think this benefited more? The U.S. (4000+dead)or Islam/Palestinians (700,000+ dead)?
And ultimately who gets to profit off it.

I think Britain and the US are pretty rich attempting to take any moral high ground regarding Iran. I know Iran is full of intelligent, moderate people who are attempting to ditch themselves of a fundamentalist president (same as the Americans actually!) I don't understand all the people on this site who say 'nuke them', perhaps President I'madinnerjacket read some of the comments here and decided he had to take his country nuclear!

I'm an American and the policies of the US Government SCARE me - we should leave Iran alone and let the young people vote their VERY unpopular president out of office. If the US attacks Iran, it only legitimizes President Ahmedinijad, and right now he is about as popular in Iran as Bush is here. I don't want to kill Iranians - I want to have dinner with Iranians. Leave Iran alone - attacking Iran would be a disaster for the US.

That's NOT TRUE!! I have some Iranian friends and they're intelligent and nice.
What we really want is the younger generation of Iranians to kick out the stupid stodgy radical idiots who are sucking the hope out of your country and threatening world peace. Ahmadinejad envisions the coming of the 12th Imam and wants to catalyze the end of the world, i.e. he has zero hope for his own country, he's a suicidal maniac. Get him gone!

Ahmadinejad and the clerics are the problem, they're way too radical and threaten OUR safety here all of the time. If they attack Israel, invade Iraq to radicalize it, our allies in the ME will call upon us for help. If they threatend to block the gulf, we will be required by survival to intervene.

These old farts with beards can be sabotaged a million and one ways before they do their dirty deeds. Iranians have to step up themselves or they will all be "martyrs". We want world peace.

Admedinejad is an "ASSHOLE", he's the boy who got beaten up on the playground and now he's taking it out on the world.
