5 possible options I give you, you can only pick one...

1 - You call the cops (its their job)
2 - You call the kids parents (its their child)
3 - You find the money yourself and pay (You could be a hero)
4 - Tell a friend (A problem shared is a problem halfed)
5 - You do nothing (What do I care?, could be a wind-up)

This was a phychological test from the 80's, each answer describes what you are like personally... try it out...

I'll add the answers in later...

1 - You have always beleived that it is best to do right in most matters. You lead more with your head than your heart, some may mistake this for coldness at times.

2 - You are generally the 'shoulder to cry on'. You don't like sharing your own emotions yet you enjoy helping others with emotional problems.

3 - You are headstrong, you try to live life to the maximum, however this can border on total selfishness at times and inconsideration for others.

4 - You are always willing to listen to the opinions of others, mostly because you find yourself indecisive over big decisions. You probably find that you rely on others to help you through difficult times.

5 - You are the sceptic. This does not always carry bad consequences, sometimes when expecting the worse we can be surprised to find the best. However being pessimistic does not help you advance in career and/or social activities.

1 - Call the cops

They know what they're doing and better at solving those types of problems.

Unless the kidnapper has access to satellite technology and/or a homing device planted on me and/or an entourage of highly trained and efficient people watching my every move; which I highly doubt because he couldn't even so much as get the right phone number to the parents (why phone a stranger to the kid to try solicit payment for him/her unless you don't know the phone number of someone the kid knows...or why didn't the kidnapper even ask the kid in the first place? This tells me he, the kidnapper, isn't very bright); so he wouldn't go so far as to think of a way to monitor my activities after hanging up the phone on me...So...I would call the police and tell them exactly what the kidnapper told me...that kidnapper will kill the kid if I called the cops...of course, the kidnapper won't know that I'm calling the cops...he's too careless.

I would go to the parents house because I couldn't break bad news like this on the phone. Give as much support as possible and help the parents get the money.

I'd have to go for number 2, Chuck!! I'm a mom and if something like this were to happen to my kids, I'd want the decision.

Call the parents straigh away, it is their child and not mine to make such big decisions about.
I wouldn't want to be a hero, would just want the parents to do what is best for their child.
