makeup problem?

i have a long nose and i really hate the look of it. i havent got the money to get a nose job but a friend told me you can make your nose look less long by useing makeup. how can i do this properly?

This will take long . I will give you some ideas.
Hair style should take the look away from the nose.
Like, do not tie up hair in a pony on top of head.
That will add to the length.
Enhance the eyes when you make up.
Apply foundation in 2 shades so nose looks shorter. Watch how they put make up in Malls and such.
Not easy to explain more here.

i also have a long nose you can follow these tips they will help.

Apply darker shade of foundation on either side of the bridge of the nose.
Extend down along each side of the nose and blend.
Extend down, between, and around nostrils, covering tip of the nose.
Apply just a touch of skin brightening powder to finish.
Blend.
You can also add more color to your eyes and lips to take the focus off your nose.

If I were you I would probably use concealer, foundation, and powder on my face (especially around the nose, but not so much that it doesnt blend in) then I would highlight the other areas of my face to take the attention off of my nose...for example eyeliner, mascara, and eye shadow on eyes to draw attention to them or blush on cheeks (but not too much)...just simple things like that...I sure your nose isnt that bad though...my God Bless You!

Travel to the nearest reputible spa where there is a certified make-up artist or aesthetician who will apply and teach you techniques for corrective make-up. They will take into account the shape of your entire face, eyes, cheeks and nose and apply countouring shades in the right places.

Hey, no need to change the look of it...There might be someone who has a very short nose and wants it to be a bit more long...just be natural.

the best thing for you to do (to accomplish this look properly) would be to go to a make-up counter in like macy's or bloomingdale's or a really good one is MAC cosmetics and get some tips there, maybe even ask them to do a make over. good luck!

i have a very long nose to and i hate it! what i do is do my eyes up big time i love doing that i do it everyday people think i go overboard but than some people tell me it's beautiful.

in order to make areas appear smaller you need to highlight (use a lighter color) inside and darken outside...you know how they say black is sliming? well apply dark color like bronzer or darker powder to cheeks..and lighter color like a lighter powder or concealer to the areas you think u want to appear less visible. so m/b outside ..or if its at the top ..apply it there. also try taking the attention off ur nose ..light your lips brighten your eyes..then it wont seem so bad. good luck!
