I've been managing a website for several years and the people who have the most difficulty "opening" or "downloading" are those with Macs.
The Mac will cost you more and get you less, they cannot and never have been able to match the versatility of the PC and that's reflected by the domination of PC's in the marketplace.
Consider buying a refurbished computer through Costco, they are usually hundreds less and are actually brand new. These have not been "used" as they are mostly computers that were returned because of damaged cartons. Once they have been retested, then they are sold as refurbished.
Hope this will help you save even more money.

That's like asking if you like apples or oranges! Windows by far has 90% of the market and is the most dominant computer on the market. Unless you want to buy a mac, don't buy into their "bs" advertising campaign. And since you asked, chances are you have never used a mac. You'll be sorry. They crash, they have bugs, and they get viruses just like the PC. Somethings are easier to do on the mac, but the for the things you can't do, it's going to be a pain. Anything a pc can do and mac can do, anything a mac can do a pc can do.
Did the mac ever upgrade there one button mouse?? That's like writing a paper with a crayon!

This depends on what you want to use it for. If you are into programing, web design, etc. certainly buy a Windows...if you want to do video editing, pod casts....buy a mac. I would preffer a Windows for both, but that's just because I'm loyal to Microsoft.

You own a windows computer and can do anything to it you wish
You only use a Mac computer as they want you to. Anything by apple is under their control and you have no owner rights.

If you're a MAC user, go to any reputable computer store and try Windows.
If you're a Windows user, go to an Apple store and try one out.
Then decide for yourself.
I like them both.
