mmm that doesn't really tell us much, and there is a very large ammount of stuff that could have happened.

When exactly did it happen?

On the system tray, rigth next to the clock, look for the networking icon. Does it have a red 'x' on it? Is it even there?

If it's there, and you rigth click it, does it say 'enable' somewhere? If so, click enable. If not, click 'repair'. What does the system tell you?

Try going into control panel, internet options, make sure that never dial a connection is checked, then open LAN connections, check automatically detect settings.

Possible hardware failure of driver issue. Try to reinstall HW drivers to network adapter.
