it won't hurt the developing fetus to get pregnant immediately after stopping the pill. many women find that they are most fertile after stopping the pill, so some get pregnant right away.
but everyone is different.

I got pregnant immediately when I came off the pill and your doctor is right, there is no danger. I never had my period after I got off the pill. The only problem is it makes it harder to calculate your due date since you don't ovulate when you are on the pill. Some doctors like you to be off the pill for a few months so you can see how your cycle is. My doctor just did a sonogram at 10 weeks to confirm the due date. I didn't have any problems at all and had a perfectly healthy daughter. I would start trying right away. For some people it takes a few months and if your doctor is ok with it then I see no reason to wait.

You can start right away, but there is no guarentee that you will be able to get pregnant so soon. It took me 10 months to get pregnant after I went off the pill. On the other hand my best friend got pregnant right after she quit the pill and she now has a happy healthy 14 months old son! Good luck, yes it's safe to try right after, but don't get your hopes up for a quick positive. It can take up to a year to get pregnant after going off the pill.

I have been on bc for 14 years.... different forms including the pill and IUD - I stopped using any form of bc Jan 10 - and I got pregnant in February (this year).... the doctor says everything is going smoothly!
There should not be any problems!
Also, just because you start trying in May, does not guarentee that you will conceive then! I would suggest that you begin prenatal vitamins as soon as you can, it will get the vitamins into your system!
Good Luck!

It depends how long you have been on the pill. It does take at least a few weeks for your body to adjust to no pill but you can start trying as soon as you want, just don't get discouraged if it doesn't happen right away.

at the same time as i became attempting to conceive i finished taking my pill in Feb and were given pregnant in April. i imagine it merely relies upon on the female and her body and at the same time as she ovulates. With my first son It took merely a month after I got here off the pill to get pregnant. both one in each and every of my sons were very healthful and no complications in any respect. strong success!

My closet girlfriend at work came off the bill in dec and she was pregnant in January! :) (she's due Oct)Give it a go, you'll be just fine. All the pill is, are hormones. You will just have to wait and see if the period comes.
