First im not sure by your question if your putting the bolt in or taking it out. Ill assume your taking it out. Soak in PB blaster or liquid wrench for atleast a couple of hours. The longer it soaks the better it works. But on a truck that old your prolly going to break it off no matter what you do. thats just the downfall of an older vehicle. If it does break they make what is called a tap and dye set, and a bolt extractor set. First youll need the bolt extractor set, its designed to remove bolts that the head broke off. Once its removed take the tap and dye set, its designed to put new threads in the hole the bolt came out of. After that youll have to buy a new bolt for it and you should have any problems putting it in or taking it out for a long while.

you may want try a rust spray that loosens nuts and bolts..........plus you may want to make sure that truck engine is cold ..........engine heat expands the metal making the nuts and bolts tighter
