Could you survive after being buried alive under 8feet of sand? Ive just seen Expose off LOST and wonder if Nikki and Paulo could actually survive such a feat.

I dont think they could. It was a very big hole and there is no way they could breathe through all that dirt. It's sad that everybody didnt realized that they were paralyzed temporarily so they commited murder without even realizing it.

They would've needed to have gotten out quickly once being buried to have survived and not suffocate to death. Judged from the following episode they didn't get out so I'm guessing they're gone.
I think how the writers killed them off was interesting. By burying Nikki and Paulo alive, the writers are showing that two really interesting characters are there, but they were paralyzed from viewer negativity and were prematurely buried before they're time.

I'm wondering the same thing too. They were buried pretty deep, so they probably will suffocate and die. But someone said Nikki isnt buried under as much as Paulo, and maybe she can dig herself out and get help for him.

I think (and im very good at predicting lost!!!) that Nikki will get out but Paulo wont.
there's a good chance they will both die though.

Probably not. I have to say I love the show, hated the hiatus. Sorry to say that these too had to die. The feed back on them was really bad. I think that they could have evolved into two good new characters if the writers tried a little bit harder.

no you couldn't live if you were buried. however, when they were covering them up nikki opened her eyes and she may have been already regaining some of her motor skills. she could possibly dig her way out and she probably will. the dog is probably going to aide her in this. in real life i don't think you would get out.

they are indeed dead. but remember when locke said "things don't stay buried on this island" maybe someone will dig them up (Sawyer) to get the diamonds in a future season....
