There were some before it but hell if I remember what they were.There was absolutely nothing that could compare with "Star Wars" .Saw it at the drive in.Couple of kids would'nt leave us alone until we promised them we would go see it.O.K. O.K I'll go see it just leave me alone .So we did.There was a guy dressed like Darth Vader walking around blinking lights on his chest the whole bit .I knew he had something to do with the movie but didn't know who the character was.The sun sets ,the movie starts---OH MY GODDDD!!!!!!My brain fried right then and there.I wanted to live there.To this day when I see the 20th century fox intro I can't imagine that anything else could follow that but star wars!!! I was 5 yrs old.I would not let my parents say one word throughout the entire movie!!!!

Can't remember the one in the theaters, but the first drive in movie I saw was Disney's The Jungle Book.

i remember going to see Sparkle. it's an afircan american movie from 1975 and it's a three sister who form a singing group in the late 50's and the struggles they each have. it has an amazing soundtract was done by aretha franklin. back then one artist did the whole soundtract. you would recognize two of the songs b/c Envogue recorded them in the 90's and it starred irene cara,before she did fame the movie. but i even own it today. but i remember i was like 5 i guess.

I think the first one I remember is Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (1990), I would've been 6 at the time.

Snow White and the 7 dwarfs.. remember sitting there playing with my uncles credit card really not giving a damn that there was a film on in the cinema and then i fell asleep on my cousins lap.. my 1st ever walt disney film and i fell asleep!! aawwww i've made up 4 it now tho absolutely love disney hehe
