Easter falls on the first Sunday, after the first full moon, after the Equinox (First day of Spring, March 21).

It has to be Easter Sunday. It's just the Sunday closest to April 6th which is really the Easter day we should celebrate. That was the birth and Resurrection date of Jesus Christ. Not Christmas. But there would be no Christmas without Easter.

I wish people who do NOT know the answer to something and ramble on, would simply stop doing it. Yahoo is filled with yahoos! That responder above me is a perfect example and the first one is also a lulu. Anyway, Easter is always the first Sunday after the first full moon that occurs after the spring (vernal) equinox.

All Jewish festivals are based on the lunar cycle (stay with me, I know Easter isn't Jewish,... sheesh!). As Jesus the Christ (Christ is His title, not His name) was Jewish, he was in Jerusalem celebrating Passover when he was arrested, "tried" and crucified. During the Passover, He instituted communion (Maundy (command) Thursday), on Thursday night He was arrested and "tried," on Friday He was crucified (Good Friday) and put in the tomb. (Now count, Friday sundown (1), Saturday sundown (2)) ... and on the third day (not after, but on) He was resurrected = Easter Sunday. And He will come again in Glory, which will be the first coming for our Jewish friends, the second coming for us Christians, and the salvation of the whole world!!
