I reccently joined sky broadband, i installed the package that came with it and i can connect to the internet on my pc but not through my laptop. I have entered in the password and it just couldnt aquire the network address so i manually configured the IP, DNS, Default Gateway and the subnet mask. It connected to the router but still wont allow me acess to the internet. Msn troubleshooter says that my DNS is unable to resolve my Ip address and there is something wrong with the key ports. If you can help me i would be very grateful. Thanks

Call your ISP, that's what they're there for.

the first problem you need to sovle (and this should fix everythign else) is why you cannot get an assigned IP via dhcp, more than likely its because they are only allowing one connection and/or you have to register your MAC address with them. I would check with them to see if your allowed more than conenction and if so see if they can help you with why your laptop cannot get a dhcp address
