There is no way to justify it, by not teaching it we're denying reality and sooner or later reality will come and bite them in the ***. Meanwhile what sucks is that rational people like you and I have to sit and shake our heads in disgust knowing right from wrong. Godspeed.

The Holocaust should be taught everywhere whether people believe it or not because it is part of history. I am not sure that it is not taught in England because it upsets the Muslims--I think you should double check. If it is true, England would be the only country to remove the Holocaust from History lessons and compared to other countried, England's Muslim population is not that big.

Only a few schools removed it. It is still compulsory to teach but some teachers are scared to upset some people. This is crazy because I am sure most muslims in the UK would agree the holocaust was one of the worst atrocities in history.

Mike B, in my oppinion you are no better than someone in Germany or Poland who contributed to the Holocaust not by action, but by allowing it to happen. So many people just allowed Jews, gays, gypsies, ect to be murdered because they were either too scared, or worse, they didn't think it was worth standing up for "a jew."
It's wrong to rewrite history - in that, you are correct. But you say to "placate to those Islamic Fascists." Do you honestly believe that each and every single person of Islamic faith denies the Holocaust, just because a few idiots in Iran do? There are a lot of anti-semetic Muslims, you are correct. But don't forget there are just as many anti-semetic Christians too. Heck, there are even anti-zionist Jewish people living in Israel. Do you think every person of Islamic faith is a Fascists? That makes about as much sense as calling someone a "communist nazi." Someone's religion has NOTHING To do with what system of government they believe in. I recognize the fact that many Muslim countries are not exactly democratic, but don't forget many are. For those who are not we, we have decolonialization and containment of communism to thank. (We'd much rather see a corrupt dictator in power than a democratic communist system... all you have to do is know Iranian history to know that.)
Hitler did not cause the Holocaust. He may have lit the match, but he did not start the fire. It was people who allowed it to happen, people who had idiotic prejudices and came up with stupid names such as "Islamic Fascists" that caused the Holocaust. It was the "us vs them" mentality.
In conclusion, I agree with you that we should not rewrite history. History needs to be told as is, because everyone has pretty dirty hands. If people want to deny the holocaust let them, they do it out of ignorance. All an educated person can do is present the evidence and try to convince them otherwise. But don't alienate every single Muslim in the world just because of a few idiots - I'm sure there have been Christian politicians in the past that you don't like of U.S. origin. Does that mean every single Christian in the world is just like the politician?

I hadn't heard about this. If it's true, I don't think there is any justification. I can't even attempt to play Devil's advocate on this one.
And don't read too much into the first person's answer. This has nothing to do with religion. This is choosing to ignore an actual historical event, and that is inexcusable.
Let's hope other countries don't follow suit on this.

This is what happens when political correctness goes to far. Lets start to omit things that have happened so that way we won't hurt anyones feelings or conflict with their beliefs.
You know what the United States needs to do....We need to erase the whole American Revolutionary war from our history...I am sure that upsets the British.
There are countless other things we in America need to stop teaching our kids so that way we won't upset religous or ethnic groups

The question specifically asks for a "justification", so here goes.
Perhaps it is time to be realistic about this. The Holocaust ended 60 years ago. By now most of the people caught up in it would be dead anyhow. So what is the point of banging on about it? History teaches us nothing. Just because a few Muslims blew themselves up in London a few months ago is no proof that others of their faith will do such a thing in the future. It is therefore nothing but common politeness to say anything that might upset them, or remind them of the fate of many of their coreligionists in the White European Nazi Death Camps.
Well, its a justification - of sorts. That is what the questioner wanted, and now he has it.

we have to also believe there is no god as well,
white anglo saxon prodistants, christians, as well as certain catholic beliefs will become null and void as our lives move on toward our future.
as they say, our world will become nothing as we know it.
hurah for the liberals, they will be the only ones that are sane enough to explain it to everyone else.
