If I have to eat in a fast food place, which is the least damaging one to eat in?

TO Ferret - yes I do. I assume in the question that all fast food is unethical - but which is the lesser evil? There must be one. Or you could have answered something like "They are all equally unetchical" - I would disagree, but I would take your point.

Well, i dont agree with the advertisements from KFC.
They always seem to show a bucket full of chicken etc etc , but you never seem to get so much when you go a buy some.

I do not know whether you have a branch near you but there is a chain of real cornish pasty shops. The product is advertised as made daily in Cornwall (others will have to verify the food miles in the ingredients) There is a range of veggie pasties as well as a large variety of meat ones. Every branch I have seen has queues out of the door. It is not the cheapest "fast food" you can get but if you want quality you have to pay. Our demand for cheap food is at the bottom of most dubious practises by producers & supermarkets.

Most fast food places are unhealthy - I agree with you totally on the trans fats from McDonalds food. Usually, you are better off going to a low priced cafe or deli that offers takeaway sandwiches. Subway tends to be the healthiest out of all the fast food franchises and Red Rooster offers skinless chicken and also salads instead of chips.

shish kebabs cooked on a charcoal grill, salad but no sauce. this would be the healthiest option. no fat on the meat or in the bread. where i work the meat is cut from fresh lamb joints and not processed. not exactly a chain, but at least i know what I'm eating.
