I love piercings and tattoos and my mum wont always let me get the ones i want. As said in a previose question i am getting me wrist pierced but it took me about 3 months to convince me mum even though she likes them herself. Many people know how i feel and i think when we get to about 12/13 we should be able to get any piercing we want without are parents condent and when we turn 14 any tattoo we want without are parents consent. Now-awadys parents think all children are irresponsible like on the news. But no we deserve the right to do what wewont to ourselve, as long as no one else gets hurt. I want to know what people think!!
Thanks

i think 12 or 13 is definitely too young to be getting tattoos or piercings without adult consent!!! don`t get me wrong, i luv them just as much as the next person (i have 1 tattoo & 14 piercings & plan to get more of both), but at that age, some (notice i said SOME, not ALL) young people need guidance & supervision from their parents to make the best choices in life...a 12 or 13 year old doesn`t have the life experience to necessarily make all the best decisions for themselves at that particular stage of their life...it`s true that there are more mature teens out there, who think things over carefully & don`t just jump into things on a whim (doing something because it`s a fad or because peer pressure sways them), but it`s not always the case...i think 18 is still an appropriate age for tattooing/piercing without parental consent...

Just remember it's going on you body and it's staying there. I don't like piecing though it seems that piecing especially on the face or weird areas, that I'm fond of, but that's just me. I think some people might get a bad impression of you. I believe keep the body as a temple, so keep that in mind. I think tattoos are cool, because it expresses who you are, but too many tattoos can be like wearing too much jewelry. When you get older you should remember to put it somewhere that you don't what other to see or because of a job or other issues. I say three tattoos are good enough.

I think your mom knows you are a good kid. She probably just doesn't want you to do something that you will regret later, especially since you are young. Thats probably the reason she makes you wait a while...just in case you change your mind a few months later. (Its not like tattoos can be easily removed!!) I think that is a very smart thing to do!!!

bc of medical reasons. at the age of 18 your considered an adult and you ar medically responsible for yourself. although i agree if your not hurting yourself or anyone it should be your decision bc its your bodyl. but when you get older and grow out of all that stuff. you will thank the law bc maybe something u thought was cool and had tatooed on urself wont look so cool in like 30 yrs when your saggy and old. ur parents are that little voice of reason inside your head! see!!!

bypass as invisible and diffused as a hazard. shop the gauges small, and bypass nowhere previous an extremely small, diffused nostril stud. comparable rules which stick to to almost all the professional international. i'm an English instructor, and my rule of thumb whilst coping with my tattoos replaced into - shop them to myself. whether you like it or no longer, you're working with dad and mom who're honestly going to decide you via your visual allure, no longer purely on your means in the lecture room. in many situations, in case you will desire to ask, do no longer do it.

I don't think it matters as long as it is your body and no one else is affected by it. As long as your not trying to get other people to get peircings i don't think ne one should have a problem with it. I mean, it is your body after all isn't it?
