Dubai is lovely, but make sure you come during the nice weather, July, August and September are soooo hot.

City Center,a great place to shop and eat but beware prices can get high.
Wild wadi is a nice water park close to the Burj Al Arab.
The Burj Al Arab is the tallest and the only 7 star hotel.
Gold Souk , a place where you can find great gold.
Shawerma,(i hope i spelled it correct)is a meal which is big in Dubai it usually includes meat, tomato, lettuce, and bread and is very Delicious!
Pashmena scarfs are sold and are very soft and delicate.
Dubai is a city of wanderers and a great place to be!

if your hotel offers to shuttle you to the 'City Centre' they are taking you to the City Centre Shopping Mall and not the actual center of the city. I made that mistake. There is a pretty cool string of beach parks along the Gulf. The whole city is incredibly nice and clean. It seems like everything is either brand new or under construction.
