Is it possible? I can't find the disk so I can't just stick it in there and use it. Would downloading a torrent of Windows xp work? I already have windows xp installed onto the computer so would it be just like restoring it? Thanks

I would think you can do a Full Install and start from there. XP may load some Generic Drivers to get things up and running enough so that you can then get specific drivers from Dell Support. Sometimes XP have them, but, I have had to install things like Video and Audio Drivers so the Display look better. This what usually on the Recovery Disk, just now you get them from Dell and install manually.

this is what i would do with my Windows XP:

Start Menu > All Programs > Accesories > System Tools > System Restore > (Follow the steps and choose the date to restore back to)

I have done this more than once and 1 out of 2 times it WORKED, the second time was cuz something was wrong with computer, 6 Viruses (Bad ones)
