The ebay account is in my dads name with my dads credit card. Is there any way of me buying something off there and paying by cash without him finding out. Its a present you see.

Okay - these other people don't know what they're talking about if they think their methods are easy!!

If you contact the seller and ask if they will accept a Postal Order - most will be glad to - you can always explain why... - you might want to create a NEW EBAY ACCOUNT. Then make the PO there.

To make a Postal Order (PO):

1) Win the bid or "Buy It Now" item
2) Get the seller's address and name
3) Check how much the item is
4) Go the the post office and ask for a postal order of however much the item was. Be prepared to pay for a little more + envelope, stamp etc. (unless you do that beforehand).
5) You will be given "monopoly money-type" paper to put in the envelope. You'll be given the receipt as part of the PO money too.
6) Put the PO money in and post it like any other letter.
7) Mark your PAYMENT AS SENT on Ebay.
8) You will receive your item!! - Communication is essential on Ebay for a successful winning of any item.

Good luck and have fun getting your present for your dad!

you can buy as long as you are in the same house. But ebay sends emails to the registered address as soon as you bid or buy. Also paying is upto you, you can use your own money and send a money order and that wont show up in his credit card. If you intend to steal his money, sorry there is no way it is possible without him noticing it. Create your own account.

No there really isn't unless you can use someone else's account. You could set up your own account, but you do have to be 18. You wouldn't be able to pay cash, but some people will accept a money order.

If the seller doesnt insist on paypal or credit cards then you could send a check or money order. Just check the terms of the auction or email the seller and ask them to be sure.

Hope this helps.

Yes, you could just buy something and arrange to pay in cash, then delete the purchase from his eBay account.
However, a notification of the purchase will be sent to his email address as well, so you'd need his password for that too in order to delete it.

It will depend on the seller. Most people only accept Paypal now purely for security reasons as it cover seller for non payment and covers buyer for not receiving goods, fake / damaged goods etc. You have to check the sellers listing on what payments they accept. They may accept cheque or postal order. If you email them and ask they may accept cash if you send it by secure insured delivery, but this will cost you extra and be at your own risk.

You can change the account to pay different ways. Go into the account and change the payment method, and also the shipping recipient and location if desired, too.

I agree with the previous answer. Get your own account. If you use his, even though you will be paying for it, it'll show up on his transaction record and he may not appreciate you using his account without permission.

Not without him knowing. Do as Always Right suggests and get your own account.
