I have been taking the centrum mult-vitamin for about three weeks now! I am 22, since i been taking them i have been feeling sick to my stomach and dizzy! Is there a possibly that the vitamin could be to strong for my system? Is it possibly i am getting to much of one of the vitamins in the supplement? Or is my body not able to asborb some of the vitamins found in the supplement? I have been feeling better that i have not been taking them! Do i probably need something more natural? Thanks for your answers!!!

Ditto on what some of theother folks said.
I used to take Centrum, and I had similar problems. Also, some of the minerals were too high for my body and it showed up on a blood test my doctor did. I stopped taking them right away.
Definitely try get "natural" vitamins.
Also, one test I read about to see how well a vitamin breaks down in your body is to put one in a half glass of water. If it doesn't disolve in 15 minutes, your body won't be dissolving it either.

Stop taking those vitamins! They are chemically prepared in a laboratory. Go to your local health food store and buy vitamins made from "whole foods". Your body will recognize these as food, and will absorb a lot better, plus you can take them on an empty stomach!

Check out New Chapter Organics:

They may be a little more expensive, but the benefits FAR outweigh the costs!

If the vitamins make you sick then try a brand that is better absorbed by your system. You might also try taking them at bedtime and/or taking them with food. Also be sure you drink a full glass of liquid when you take any medications so that it is well absorbed by your system. The vitamins are not to strong but try the other suggestions first and if that doesn't help then change to a different brand that is well absorbed by your body.

The problem with this vitamin is that it's a tablet. It's very hard for the stomach to break down vitamin tablets. That could be one of the reasons you were experiencing being sick to your stomach. Also you have to have a meal when you take vitamin tablets .

I find that the most easily absorbed vitamin is by GNC "Multi Gel" it's a soft capsule and the vitamin breaks down into a liquid in the stomach. You can find this vitamin at www.gnc.com its also very inexpensive.

hi, centrum is all synthetic and a waste of your money. what you want is all natural supplement. you dont want to eat plastic synthetic carrots do you? you want real carrots. vitamins are not medications , they are supplements. what you dont get enough from eating foods you take supplements, nutrients which keeps the body healthy and strong. try taking the natural brands. my favorite is green source sold by vitamin world. and i just take it twice a week or whenever even in an empty stomach. :)

Never take them on an empty stomach that may be your problem.I like them. They are much milder than a lot of others.Your body will filter out when it is too much(just take a super B vitmin sometime and you'll see ,within an hour you will be Peeing bright yellow) The body will absorb what it needs and flush the rest.
