I have definetly been "kick started" by being around a friend who is bleeding before (many time actually)...but I am wondering if there is any kind of scientific study about this.

Yeah, it's been noticed before. It's been said, don't know how reliably that nuns and women living closely together used to synchronise their periods after a while. There might have been some studies done, try looking at PubMed or Google Scholar.

There is scientific studies backing up the fact that women living in close proximity will sync their periods to happen at the same time. One theory is its due to pheromone release.

This is personal testimony. I was in the Air Force and stuck in a tent in the desert for 1 year. Within 6 months, all the girls were on the same cycle.

Today, I work for the prison systems. Same thing. All the girls in a cell block will get on the same cycle.

It's. Amazing. (And dangerous during that time of the month!!!)

I don't know if there is scientific evidence of it, but I have noticed it over and over. Here at work all of us ladies are on the same schedule now. . .weird.

Could be due to the pheromones that are released. Check with a doctor.
