I think we should tell the Iranians:

" I've been drivin' all night, my hand's wet on the wheel
There's a voice in my head that drives my heel
It's my baby callin', says I need you here
And it's half past four and I'm shifting gear...'

Iran...we're driving for you.

I believe Iran has figured out the liberal agenda in this country and concluded that this would be a good time to demonstrate that they can do pretty much anything they please - but they have underestimated the true resolve of this administration and the American people to keep America strong and secure.
It will definitely be in Iran's best interests to heed the dialog and set their agenda of starting a jihad aside for the moment. I seriously doubt we will ever put ground troops in another psychotic Middle Eastern country. We will, however, pound them decisively with air and sea power - and it won't be pleasant.
Should it come to this, get ready for Rosie and her Hollywood elitists, along with the media, to criticize every possible aspect of the operation. The back lash from the "anti-war at any cost" crowd will be inevitable.
And also expect the normal drivel of theories and conspiracies of how how George Bush orchestrated the present hostage situation.

I'd send Ahmadinejad an ultimatum and a "Saturday Night" deadline, courtesy of Elton John...

Don't give us none of your aggravation
We had it with your discipline
Saturday night's alright for fighting
Get a little action in!

Gotta be a Brit, to make the point!

"Won't Back Down"? I just got an E-Mail saying the same thing. Must be coincidence. It can't be a mistake. For all that enjoy some good Southern Humor? When it comes to Iran? It's time to GIT-R-DONE!! And I'll except a violation, if you see this as being one.

This is why I hate hawks. There are divisions returning for a year tour in Iraq after a reduced 7 month home rotation. That sucks. But you guys on the sidelines can't wait to start another war. Talk to your local recruiter. You really want to support these guys? Be one.

If we want to send a message to Iran, what we do is this:

US: "You have forfeited your right to nuclear power by capturing non-aggressive forces in international waters and holding them illegally. Release them forthwith."
Iran: "No."
US: "Alright. I would strongly reccommend that your nuclear research facilities go unmanned for the next few days."
Iran: "No."
US: "Sorry. Anybody there is about to have a pretty bad day."

Kills two birds with one stone, no? No invasion, no US troops in harm's way. Surgical.

Somehow, I just can't see Tom Petty in Marine cammoflague, getting ready to charge Mahmoud Ahmadinejad on behalf of those poor Brits.

I'm so glad to say we won't back down!! Our country won't back down to no one which is what makes us so powerful! England was always a powerful county itself because England wouldn't take no heat from anybody else which makes her a good freind of ours! I like your tunes!

Big Stick diplomacy.

"Speak softly and carry a big stick; you will go far"

-African proverb as quoted by Teddy Roosevelt.

so long as we do speak softly in this situation I have no problem with them flexing a little.
