My best friend from childhood and I truly need some time away from our families. We are in our early 30's, each have two young children, and strained relationships with our husbands. I live in Colorado and am willing to travel wherever. She lives in Eastern PA, and I don't want to make her travel too far. We'd like to go somewhere for 2 or 3 nights for a long weekend. We want to relax, rejuevenate, talk, and find ourselves as individuals again without the stressors of homelife. Any ideas for spas, resorts, hot springs, or any type of get-away suited for us would be much appreciated. Thank you!

One of the best ones in the USA is is the Roaring Brook Dude Ranch in the Adirondacks, a mile away from Lake George, which is the most beautiful lake in the USA.
They have a BIG swimming pool, a great restaurant and bar, a large dance area, beautiful rooms, wooded surrounding hills, horseback riding near by and much more.

Try St. Augustine, Florida- Savannah, Georgia- Charleston, SC- or Key West, Florida.
All these have a relaxed atmosphere and offer great dining opportunities, and eclectic shopping areas.
