Everyone is saying a bunch of different stuff, but the only thing I've ever seen work is nail polish remover. Rub over the stained area gently with a cotton ball soaked in remover, then rinse your skin with cool water. Repeat as necessary, then moisturize well to avoid irritation.

Good luck!

Hi i got this with the one I was using and even thought its not a self tan you still have to exfoliate in these places as these are the driest. All I did is when I got out of the bath sometimes you notice that your skin when you dry it with a towel it rubs off. So after you get out of the bath/shower, Just get the towel and rub over these areas, if you notice flaky bits of skin coming off then this is the tann wearing off to, it will then fade eventually. There is no other way, you can always try a body scrub and then you can use this to exfoliate the skin before you apply the gradually tanning moisturiser. Also using a using a body puff in your shower helps get rid of dead skin cells also thats if you havent got one and know all this already.

I would also ask you to check which one you are using, the one for fair to normal skin or normal to dark. As if you have fair skin and your using the normal to dark thinking you will get a darker result you will not and end up with patchy bits, this is because if we have lfair skin we need less tanning ingrediant for some reason. I found this info of the dove website for there moisturising gradual tannig lotion. But if you have the right on for you skin then is just about scrubbibg of the dead skin on the areas like knees ankles and elbows.

Well the patches are from skin which has exfoliated naturally in some areas and is darker in areas that need a little help exfoliating. I recommend the island sandbar bath bar from Breezy Beach Wear. It is made with sanitized sand and sea algea extract so it will get the rough stuff out and still leave your skin soft. Their lemonade bar is also ideal because lemon is a natural lightener. Good luck!

Lemon juice bleaches the tan out. Also those hair removing pads that are kind of like soft sandpaper, can't remember what they're called you can get em in Superdrug. You can get tan removing wipes but the above two methods work and with the latter option you get silky skin too!

Vaseline gets rid of fake tan or try an exfoloater. Worked for me. Also before you put it on, make sure you have exfoliated first, then use the lotion it helps to stop the dark patches.

Good luck hun x

A shower with some soap and wata. some good soap. not any Ivory, Dail. Something that conditions the skin. Dont forget to scrub witha lofa or a handtowel.

remember to exfoliate before u apply the lotion, to remove dead skin cells so the lotion gets properly absorbed into the skin & always be careful to use the lotion more sparingly around wrists, ankles, elbows & knees...u could try exfoliating now to remove some of it, but i don`t know if it will work!!! good luck!!!

Exfoliate, exfoliate, exfoliate! Do it in a shower and don't rub too hard or your skin will get red and raw. First try using an exfoliant that you would use for a face to see how your skin reacts to it and then try the one for body. It worked for me! Good luck.
