My mainboard has a "P4XFCU" written on it. It's already 4 years old. I recently reformatted the whole thing but unfortunately I could not find the mainboard/motherboard installer. So now, I can't hear any sound/music/audio from it...is there still hope for this problem?

Take a look at the picture on the first page and see if it looks like your motherboard.

If it looks the same, you can check by downloading Belarc Advisor from the second site offered. Run the installation program and it will give you a comprehensive breakdown of both hardware and software within your computer. This should help you identify the soundcard.

Go to the third site listed, and download the relevant drivers for your soundcard. Install them, and you should be OK.

You could, of course, simply run Belarc Advisor without even looking at the picture in the first link.

In a bit more detail... go to your computer's manufacture's website and find downloads and drivers (probably under service) find your computer model and download and install the integrated sound card driver. That should do it!

yea, you could fit a new sound card and use that instead of mobo sound, or look for the drivers on the manufactures website, eitherway good luck
