that way you can just add the annoying trolls to it and their questions wouldn't pop up on your page.. no reason to report them.. just add and forget!! it would be great!

With the ignore option, who the hell would listen to you?

Brilliant Idea ol Chap !!
Post that in the Suggestion Forum and see if Yahoo responds .

Maybe they could make it so it covered an entire IP. . . that way our multiple profile conspiracy theorist friends could be stopped , lock, stock, and barrel !!

EDIT*- I saw your post in the forum. . . but now it's gone ? Did Yahoo respond or just delete a damn good suggestion ?
I posted a suggestion very near the same time as you . My suggestion was to not limit how many 'contacts or fans' that we have . I didn't even know there was a limit until earlier today when I reached it . But they deleted my suggestion too !!!
Now I have posted a question as to why they delete good suggestions ?
Some people say Yahoo is Liberal biased and others say it's Conservative biased , but I'm starting to wonder if they're 'creativity biased' !!

I've often wished for one, and I'm sure there are those who would love to ignore me lol. But I've gotten to the point where I know the trolls for most part and just don't bother to answer their questions and I scroll right past them while reading answers. I only report obviously racist questions that are using epithets, and those who call women things like s l u - -, and the "c" word. I don't use the abuse button very often, certainly not just because I don't like someones answer.

THAT...is perhaps the most brilliant suggestion I have ever seen since participating here!!

I'll suggest it to them, myself.

Beautiful! That way, it doesn't really matter WHAT your reason is for wanting to "ignore" someone; the point is that you won't even have to LOOK at their drivel.

Brilliant!!!!

yes, i agree. That would be much better than the present system that allows abuse of the reporting system.

People don't agree with your opinion so they report you. Stupid.

The ignore would give you a chance to edit your content, but not to edit the opinions of others.

Good idea.

My Brother! You've got the idea. Glad, at least someone is seeing it my way. Damn proud to call you my Friend. Top notch Question.

While it sounds like a good idea it isn't really. It's a tolerance thing. Everybody has the right to be heard on here and it's just better to ignore them.

I've suggested a kill file similar to the ability usenet software has before. It would let you totally ignore those idiots who you just can't stand.

just hit the Abuse button.

every time I say Bush or Republican, I get reported for abuse.

yahoo itself censores most of my questions. I post them and 2 minutes later they are deleted. yesterday I posted
"zero hour, 9 am " ? lasted 2 minutes.
what was wrong with that? guess they hate music.

That would be excellent. It would encourage people to ask or answer questions properly, without spewing out complete rubbish.
