It Iran has any sense, it will ensure that they will return, well fed, looked after and in good health, unlike so many arabs who are still held without trial. If they look after the soldiers, it will boost its standing enormously, and the US will lose support to invade.

Iran will cut them loose and try to look magnanimous. Instead they will look like the evil little bastards they are to the whole world. The British sailors will recant all their coerced confessions, the media will have a field day and everyone will claim to have won.
And Iran will still be a boil on the butt of the world.

nothing, this is a power play.. and you can't play the game if you don't have pawns... they will be released one day when Iran bores of this or gets the deal they want.
