I own an Oldsmobile Delta 88 1987 with only 62,000 miles on it. My fuel guage is broken. And I'm too busy with kids in the car and DRIVING to pay attention to the miles and figure it out myself. According to the details given above, can someone estimate how many miles per gallon I get?

fill your tank, set the trip tick to zero. If you have a 12 gallon tank it's a good bet that you can go 20 mpg so I would stop at 200 miles. Then fill your tank up again. take 200 divide by the nubmer of gallons you just put in, that is your mpg.

I had this happen with my '83 mercury cougar woody wagon. The best advice I can give you is to just stop and fill up every 2 days, 3 days if you don't drive that far to work or whatever. I used to write down the milage and all that crap, but eventually it just got easier to stop at a gas station every other day!!!

12-15mpg as a guess. Just fill it up and note the mileage, when you refill note the mileage and the gallons of gas it took. Do a little division and there you go.
