reducing freedoms is a socially conservative view. I never unsderstood how reducing freedoms is conservative, but hey, it;'s not my fault that the religious right hijacked the GOP. But it doesn't prevent me from being able to answer questions. And you assume a lot about me. I am not for many social programs, just freedom. A TRUE conservative.

In hindsight, probably not.

But most will agree that leaving before some measure of stability is provided could force us to fight a much more costly war in the future.

Yes.
But borrowing Social Security to pay the bills all of these years is not well spent. Only two solutions: Reduced benefits or increased taxes.

What exactly is a "Fiscal Conservative"?

I never really got that one.

If you are at pains to declare that you are a "Fiscal" Conservative, that implies that you disagree with "Social" Conservatism, and are therefore...

Socially Liberal.

Which makes "Fiscal" Conservatism rather difficult, since IMO, Socially Liberal policies cost money.
