5 times. 1985, 1989,1991, 1992, 1993. They have the distinction of losing every playoff series to the eventual world champs. The exceptions were 92 and 93 when they won the WS.

This is off the top of my head, but I believe 3 times. In 1985 with Bobby Cox as their manager they lost to Kansas City in the ALCS, no Wild Card round back then. And in 1992 and 1993 they won the World Series.

5 times - 1985, 1989, 1991 (all three times losing in the AL championship), 1992 (WS champs) and 1993 (WS champs).
