I have dated several men of Asian and Hispanic decent. The reason you only hear about it between white women and
black men is b/c thats controversal--whereas Asian does not seem to be.
First off its based on the stereotypes. Are the stereotypes correct? No. People come in every type--but a positive image in society makes it more accepted. Asian people are "smart, intelligent, hard workers". Their children are "honor roll" "class president"--not motorcyle riding rebels. So what parent would not want your child to date the valedictorian? Now the nice old grandmother of course wants you to bring home someone just like her "a sweet lil chinese girl" or a "latina who can cook and clean for you"--but they are more refering to the time than the ethnicity. They want you to find someone back the way it used to be, in a simplier world. No one would be able to tell if a biracial child was a mix of a Hispanic man and an Asian woman.
Next, it is based on a skin color. Hispanic. Now what exactly is the difference b/t a Hispanic and a white person who just has olive complexion? Could you tell they were interracial? Not really. Many parts of Spain are as fair skinned as the rest of Europe. If your great grandparents had come from Italy, and married Italians--but you are pure American. You'd still look Italian. and probably have the same skin coloring as a Hispanic.
The problem with white women and black men is that is obvious. And it has people yelling from both communities. I would actually argue more opposition in the black community, as I have frequently heard black women complain that educated black men have to prove they are "movin' on up" by dating a white girl. It's a status symbol mentioned in rap songs. The black community has a lot of negative stereotypes as well, due to the fact that more black men are in jail, the majority of children in the black community are born to single mother households, and that many black teenagers respect rappers and NFL players (with their long rap sheets) as better rolemodels than black lawyers and judges. I read on yahoo just the other day about how the community hated Colin, Conde, and Obama being portrayed as black and how most actresses aren't even black as they are mixed.
So no, it's not about if white women date other minorities--of course we do. We date who we are attracted to and whose personality interests us. Especially in larger cities where the mix of ethnicities is more even. But it's the fact that it is not newsworthy when that happens. The world is in black and white and when a black man and a white woman date it is very obvious to everyone that they are interracial. Both groups hold on to too much hate in order to have that not seem controversial. The biracial children still feel ostracized. You must either embrace being black or white and know that you will never fully be either. No matter what your successes, an Oscar nominee, you will still just be "mixed." It's sad but that is the world today and hopefully, we can inspire tolerance in future generations so that 50 years from now, that will not be the truth any longer.

I dated two black men myself but now with a white man. I have several friends who are married to minorities. These minorities include a Korean (sweet guy), Japanese (loving), Libyan (weird but polite), German (sweet), and Ukranian (best host ever). Not the only samples I can give, but these friends come to mind first.

Don't know where you live but where I come from (Southern Calif.) it is common to see white women dating people of any race. I married a hispanic as did one of my sisters. Another sister married a man who was half hispanic, half white, another sister dated black men for a while. One of my brothers dated a hispanic woman for awhile.

I understand if you really do prefer darker girls, but you said you wouldnt care basically if she was beautiful...you would still turn down a white girl? What is it that you have against white women?.... I think the problem with a lot of asians is that they associate all white girls with the typical blonde porn stars. what if she was white but hard dark hair and a slight latina look? LOL its your choice though.

If I were single then yes I would. Skin color or race mean nothing. The most important things to me are values, ethics and how the man would treat me. Luckily I don't have to worry about it. I'm married to a wonderful man who treats me like a queen.

I was married to an Asian man for 15 years, and we have two kids. To me, color makes no difference. When you like someone, who cares what they are. Peace!
