OK, Aquarian. I'm not an astrologer or anything (you'll get some of those answers for sure). However as an Aquarian, I can share some Do's and Don'ts.

For instance, I am a Horse who got involved with a Rat. This is my mortal enemy, according to the Chinese zodiac. They were right -- it was a horrible match. He happened to be Virgo, also.
As for real science, I highly suggest getting to know your personality type through the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator. Myers & Briggs took the Karl Jung psychological profiles and put them into a form that is used today by schools and businesses, as well as by dating services, etc. When you check this information out, you'll see that an NT person will not do well with an SJ. Guess what (you guessed it), that same guy was an SJ, and I am an NT. We were doomed from the git-go!!!
