Properly, Hydrochloric Acid is H3O+ and Cl- (Hydrodium ion and Chloride ion) since it is Hydrogen Chloride fully dissolved in water, dissociated into ions.

HCl is the formula for Hydrogen Chloride gas, which is not Hydrochloric Acid without water.
