I find that older women around this age range are so nosy and wanst to know EVERYTHING about you and your life. Is it because they have no life of their own so intrude on other peoples?
I had an old lady a while ago asking me how my course is going....blah blah and then all of a sudden she says 'well we will all have fun at easter while youre studying' etc
£%£"$ off you old hag.
What are your experiences?
Please note: Not all mature females are this way.

Pom - you are an exception. I would not mind if someone like you asked me how my course was going.
But this particular woman is known to be nosy and catty.

Sooo from one conversation -and by the way it sounds to me like the woman was just making conversation, which is what civilized folk tend to do - with one woman who is over 45 you have deduced that the majority of women over 45 are bitchy and nosy. I once dated a 25 year old man who was an alcoholic.. does that mean all 25 year old men are alcoholics? Get a grip. Could be that you are just so paranoid that you think you are being insulted when a person is merely joking around with you.

I've experienced annoying and nosy people of all ages, from the 10 year old girl a few houses down, to the nice but overly talkative old man upstairs.
I don't know what to say here except that you're a really ignorant person. Has it occured to you that these women might be lonely, and perhaps "£%£"$ off you old hag" isn't the correct approach?
I hope you grow up one day, but you sound really sheltered and spoiled so I doubt you will.
Good luck.

Hey....I think as a 46yr old woman I am qualified to answer this.
Don't think of myself as an "old woman" though.....blimey is this how young people see us in our mid fourties!!!!
I have a great life thanks and probably pack more into it than many people in their teens, twenties or thirties.
Currently travelling around the world, spent 5 months in Oz, now in Dubai and then off to Thailand.
And as for the remark about "not getting it".....don't you believe it.
Don't judge people.......maybe the person was generally interested in your course and not being nosey or bitchy.........I speak with my childrens friends because I like young people, no hidden agenda at all.

Yes you are right they are not all like that........but i have came across it a few times for no apparent reason i.e........
Went out with my parents and my sister to the pub, we was then joined by a couple my parents knew, i and my sister were pleasant to the couple as we had no reason not to be, but the woman was giving us "little digs" all night!!
Me and my sis were puzzled as to why, and we still never found the answer, but if you find it let me know!!!

Firstly, women of 45ish are not old. Perhaps they are not being nosey, maybe they are just taking an interest which is a compliment to you.
Reading between the lines. I gather you are very young with everything still to learn. We have all been there.

Being an "old" woman in this category, I find that totally untrue, since most of us don't care one whit about you...but on the other hand, I find that the under 20 crowd, of which I'll put you in, think they know everything. The example you give has nothing really to do with being bitchy or nosey, but she does sound like she doesn't really like you.

With an attitude like yours I think you are lucky that anyone wants to speak to you or ask anything about you. Since when was 45 considered old?

Trust me, you will know when you get her age.lol
I'm not even there yet and I already feel that way.
It isn't a joke when they say "life is a b*tch"
But, for real, I know what you mean.
Once in wal-mart an older lady crapped her pants.....I saw her dilemma and offered to go purchase her a new pair of pants and a box or whipes, then bring them to the bathroom for her.All she had to do was hide in a stall until I got back. And it would never be mentioned. No one would ever have to know. But, I didn't even finish asking her size before she bit my head off and spit it into the shopping cart.Old bat...I got pissed off and just raised my voice.....WOW MA'AM! LOOKS LIKE YOU SH*T YOUR PANTS THERE......

Sorry but I don't think the majority are like that at all. Every age group/generation has people that annoy us. Young and old, not the majority. Sorry.
