Yes we did! They were forged, and Bush knew they were forged BEFORE the SOU address in 2003! In other words he lied to the American people knowingly and brought evidence that he knew was false to congress!
As a matter of fact, the document didn't even come from the US. It came from GB!

That's really old news already, as is the 45-minute claim. Surely you know about the David Kelly affair? http://edition.cnn.com/2004/WORLD/europe/01/25/kelly.timeline/
The media often hypes ridiculous government claims like that to get support for their illegal invasions. In the 80's, Reagan actually said with a straight face that the Sandanistas in Nicaragua could attack Texas in a matter of hours, and also claimed that the tiny island of Grenada (the Spice island!) could do the same. Sadly, few people realised how absurd those claims were, and US trained forces destroyed both countries. Sound familiar?
PS The Queen, you are right on!

No, we went because they had been determined to invade Iraq from before 9/11/01. The former Treasury Secretary Paul O'Neill can attest to that.
Richard Clarke also spoke about their zeal to attack Iraq on 9/11. He had been told when he was in an interview that morning to say Iraq had something to do with it but HE told them he would say it IF they provide him proof and they could not, so they went out to "prove" it.
The forged Niger documents came in from Italy, not the U.K. 2 employees from the Niger Embassy in Rome were responsible for those documents.
The CIA had discounted the "papers" but Bush and his cabal insisted on using the information, anything to "gin" up this war.

No. It was part of the stated reason, but not the real motivation.
