Think it won't affect you? What happens when we have to pay back all the loans we've taken out to fund the war in Iraq? Where do you suppose that money's going to come from? The cash tree on the White House lawn?

Jacob W: Where do I sign up for a loan that I don't have to pay off? Apparently I've got the wrong company financing my car. They expect me to pay them every month. Could you provide more information, please?

No. It is very irresponsible of our government to have spent us into such a large deficit.

Just like all the loans Government has taken from Social Security to pay the bills in the past. Sooner or later, it will catch up. Either decreased benefits or higher taxes.

You my friend, have no idea what you are talking about. The economy is growing every year. You don't have to pay any loans off. All the action necessary is to control spending and the debts will take care of themselves.
What, do you hate U.S. Savings Bonds, Treasury Bills etc?

When the economy craps out due to the stifling amount of debt the Republicans accumulated, they will simply blame the democrats for trying to pay it down instead of just borrowing more, like they would do.

The US knows no poverty. Take a look at Kenya, Honduras, Thailand or Bangladesh. Children are forced to prostitute themselves, and much worse, in these and many other countries.
Yes, freedom in Iraq is worth breaking the US bank. Citizens of this country are no better than those of Iraq, we are just luckier to be born here.

What poverty? Last time I checked there are more than enough opportunites for people to move the **** out of the ghettos and make something out of their miserable lives.
