y = mx + b ------> this form of equation will serve as your guide
y - y(sub1) = m (x - x sub1) -----> this formula will be used to get the equation of the line
1) P (2,3) m=2
y - 3 = (2) (x - 2)
y - 3 = 2x - 4 -----> after this, transpose 3 to the right side of the equation and you'll get the next equation
y = 2x - 1 -------> this is the point slope form

2) X (4,1) m=3
y - 1 = (3) (x - 4)
y - 1 = 3x - 12
y = 3x - 11

3) R(-3,5) m = 1
y - 5 = (1) (x - -3)
y - 5 = (1) (x + 3)
y - 5 = x +3
y = x + 8

4) A (-2, -6) m = 4
y - -6 = (4) (x - -2)
y + 6 = (4) (x+2)
y +6 = 4x + 8
y = 4x + 2

5) V (6,1) m = 1/2
y - 1 = (1/2) (x - 6)
y - 1 = x/2 - 3
y = x/2 -2

6) in this part, the first thing you have to do is get the slope given the points. the slope could be calculated by the equation:
(y sub2 - y sub1) / (x sub - x sub1)

so you are given two sets of coordinates.
D (0,5) and E(5,8)
your y sub 2 = 8
y sub 1 = 5
x sub 2 =5
x sub 1 = 0
then plug it in the equation that i gave you to get the slope

m = (8 - 5) / (5 - 0)
m = (3) / (5)
m = 3/5

then to get the equation of the line, perform the steps we have done earlier in order to answer the questions 1 - 5

y - y sub 1 = (m) (x - x sub1)
y - 8 = (3/5) (x - 5)
y - 8 = (3/5)x - 3
y = (3/5)x + 5 ----------> this is now your equation of the line

7) F(6,2) and G(2,4)
m = (4 - 2) / (2 - 6)
m = (2) / (-4)
m = -1/2

y - 4 = (-1/2) (x - 2)
y - 4 = (-1/2)x + 1/4
y = (-1/2)x + 17/4

8) H(2,6) and K(-1.3)
m = (3 - 6) / (-1 - 2)
m = (-3) / (-3)
m = 1

y - 3 = (1) (x - -1)
y - 3 = x + 1
y = x + 4

9) A(-4, 4) and B(2,10)
m = (10 - 4) / (2 - - 4)
m = (6) / (6)
m = 1

y - 10 = (1) (x - 2)
y - 10 = x -2
y = x + 8

10) L(-1.0) and M(-3,-1)
m = (-1 -0) / (-3 - -1)
m = (-1) / (-2)
m = 1/2

y - 0 = (1/2) (x - -1)
y = (1/2) (x + 1)
y = (1/2)x + 1/2

there, its finish.ü hope i had ihelped you.ü

y = ma + b
where m is the slope and b the y-intercept

questions 1 to 5 are solved in the same way: you have one point P(x,y) and the slope m

I will question 1 for you and you do the same for the rest
Point P(2,3) and slope m=2
y = 2x + b
to get b just replace x and y in the equation with those of point P : 3 = 2 * 2 + b => b = -1
equation: y = 2x -1

6 to 10 same thing:
given two points you can get the slope:
m = (y2 - y1)/(x2 - x1)
I will solve 6 and you do the rest in the same way
m = (8 - 5)/(5 - 0) = 3/5
y = 3/5 x + b
just replace x and y by the value of one of the points.
5 = 0 + b
so the equation becomes: y = 3/5 x + 5

Slope intercept form

y = mx + b

3 = 2(2) + b

3 = 4 + b

- 4 + 3 = 4 + b - 4

- 1 = b

- - - - -

y = 2x - 1

- 2x + y = 2x - 1 - 2x

- 2x + y = - 1. . . .This is the equation
