There are always some soldiers who will act like idiots. That is not however why some Iraqis are killing our troops. Many Iraqis see us as occupiers. They think we are there for their oil.

No I have never wondered this at all!
That is a minor incident but truly cruel for that small boy.

This is the streets of Baghdad a few weeks before the Invasion
There is a huge difference in the people. This elegant educated people are being ground into the dirt by this dismal war for oil. Anyone who disputes this oil greed is absolutely blind.
If people were contaminating my country with depleted uranium with genocidal desires, I think I would not be so happy either, alas.

If my children were in a school where they were so taunted or it was permitted, they would be removed and taken elsewhere. That is a lousy excuse for such cruelty to happen and is a good explanation for the existence of such ignorance!
I have spoken to wonderful young men who really cared about what they were doing over there, poor misguided innocents. I never spoke disparagingly to them, however, because they have enough to deal with. Some ask me about Islam because they want to help and understand the people they are there to supposedly "liberate" and I gladly give it.

The Iraqi people are not killing soldiers... British or American. Extremists are. These do not represent all Iraqi people, and as such it's not really fair to say that "THE Iraqi people" hate us and kill our troops.
Sure, some do, and whilst I don't defend thier actions, they see the occupation, however well intentioned it may be as an invasion... They see it as thier duty to repel that invasion (As I'm sure anybody would if all of a sudden you had troops pouring into your country, blowing stuff up and causing mayhem... It's all about perspective really)
As for the rest, and I think it's fair to say the majority, don't think or act that way.

Soldiers have never been the best ambassadors in the world.
They lived in a war zone under a great deal of stress. They are constantly on the alert and the adrenaline flows freely in their systems.
Mean streaks, as you seen in the video, often arise. It helps relieve the tension. For most soldiers, the mean streak remains a harmless prank, as teasing kids. For others, it becomes more harmful, like rape and murder.
What is troublesome is that many soldiers are on their 3rd and 4th rotation in Iraq. Prolonged exposure will cause many of these soldiers to lose a lot of their humanity.
This war has gone on long enough. Sometimes the only way to end a war is to stop fighting.

No. I do wonder why some Americans are convinced the Iraqi people are the ones killing our soldiers. The only Iraqis bent on our destruction are the ones who are also killing other Iraqis.
Oh, circulating that video again, are we? So what. I see worse on the playground of my son's school.

Iraqi's aren't killing Americans...Iranians, Syrians, and Hezbollah are...foreigners have infiltrated into Iraq and they are the ones killing us. We have now forged alliances with tribal leaders and many more Iraqi's are now fighting with us.

Nice little video.
It's title should have been entitled "American soldiers tease Iraqi kids".
However, your country and mine (UK) are known as 'Great Satan' and 'Little Satan'.
We have NO chance of a 'Win' in that country, 'Surge' or no 'Surge'.
