It never ceases to amaze me how many people want quality and cheap. Stick with quality.
Best bet would be to find a used drive. Go to a small, independent computer repair center and ask if they have any used drives. I know they have them. When they upgrade a system, they put the old ones on the shelf for this very reason.

Your question is not clear. Do you need external hard drive or for your computer.
There are various drives and cost depends on MB/GB.
If external drive I love Buffalo because it is fast good and within reasonable price.
Advise: Before you decide to buy carry the Name of computer with model and hard drive details. This will help the seller to determine if hard drive you wanted will work on your computer or not.

If you live in the UK, then get this from Pcworld.... 320 gig external hardrive for £75 (brand is Maxtor). They also do internal hard drives. A 320gig for example is £59.99 and thats Hitachi.
To look at the others, just type in "hard drive" on their search bar

Quality + cheap = only when capacity is small.
Best HDDs are made by Western Digital (performance) and Seagate (safety).
