Just a question more so that I understand what's going on. I'm trying to print this document and it always stops printing at the same location and this causes the printing to stop and this specific job is stuck in the print queue. All jobs sent to the print queue will not print unless this job is deleted/finished. I've figured out how to clear the "Spool" but I was just curious as to why this happens? Anyone? thanks.

The document you are printing is corrupted.
Try to rectify the document. Look out for unusual charcter in the document, May be a virus too.
Save it as a new name in a diferent place in your disk.

Lots of possibilities, cables being least likely. Hardware like cables do not discriminate against a single job. Most likely the job is incomplete. You can test this theory. When it starts to print, at the part that hangs, hit the GO button on most Lexmark [duno on HP] and you can force finish. The printer might be waiting for the CLOSE EXE at the end of the job. If you can display this particular document, cut & paste all into a new doc and see if it will print.
