Does America wage war on Muslims because they're an easy target and don't fight back?

For all the people obsessed with calling Muslims murderers and savages who oppress their women and beat their prisoners, has it ever occurred to you that you are just picking on people who are to smart to fight back?

Do you think tabloid scare headlines are 'proof' and 'evidence' that Muslims are evil butchers? Do you ever take into consideration that Moslem families are closer than western families, and have solid foundations that go back centuries - much more solid than Christianity?

Do you really think that tiny, tiny groups that are violent are a good example of the other 99.999% that are peaceful? That Muslims appreciate being provoked, ridiculed, bombed, and then you think you can 'catch them out' because they get angry about it?

There are 1.6 billion Muslims in the world, America, and the only thing the Muslim world has done wrong is that it has not stood up for itself. If they really wanted you dead, you'd be dead.

Your logic is shall we say, off balance. Americans are not at war with Moslem's. We are fighting people that commit acts of terror (beheading, bombings, mass-murder) in the name of Islam. Your statement is similar to saying that when the government fights the KKK they are anti-Christian.

I might add that in the west a Muslim from the middle-east can walk anywhere, anytime in Europe and the USA and not fear being attacked. The same cannot be said for Christians, Jews or any non-Muslim traveling to the middle-east. Now reflect on that smart guy!

Wow, I had to put on rubber boots to get through that pile of crap. Our middle eastern friends have a very short memory. They forget all about the US coming in and helping the Muslims in Bosnia and Kosavo. They definitely want to forget about the butchering of Christian Armenians in Turkey. If you jerks hadn't fallen on a gold mind you would be as inconsequential as Africa. The mid-east is dominated by lazy men who can't do their own work. 90% of the population in of Saudi Arabia is foreign nationals doing the bidding of religious Wahhabi zealots who couldn't cook an egg without screwing it up and then blaming the pan that was made in America.

Here is an idea. Make something, start an industry outside of oil, do 40 hours a week. The only steady job that a Muslim has been involved in is terrorism. Look at Iraq. What do the terrorist go after. The oil industry, infrastructure, the market place. They destroy so no one has an option but some kind of militia. Look at Palestine. The Gaza, right on the Med. They could have Hotel after hotel and make boat loads of money. They could piss off the Jews more by being successful, but that would take power away from Hamas and Hezbollah. Anarchy is your success. Don't blame America, blame your leadership

What does it say about any group, that picks on another group over what a small number of them have done, and chooses to make out that the actions of a minority are a reflection of the entire group? I don't think that is an exclusively American trait. We're just the ones under fire for that sort of thing, in this context. Speaking of the actions of a minority reflecting on a group as a whole, Bush's approval rate in this country is only about 30%, so is it America as a whole supporting that sort of thing, or the actions of a minority here reflecting badly on the whole? I hate to see any group smeared over the actions of a few.

First of all, if you're positing an apologia for Islam, you can shove it. Islam supports terrorists; Islam supports slavery; Islam supports mutilation; Islamics have killed more Palestinians than the Israelis, and actually started the Palestinian "problem"; Islam supports riots, murder... Islam is NOT a "religion of peace," and don't try that "Crusades" crappy argument, because this is not a zero-sum game.

Secondly, if you consider the sheer size of the Islamic followers, and the projected percentage of those who would be considered "extremists" or "terrorists," the numbers of an enemy such as this are astonishing. Say that five percent of Islamics support terror; five percent of an estimated 1.6 billion is 80 million. Say it's **only** one percent: 16 million.

Don't try that "tiny numbers of peaceful muslims" crap, because that's what it is.

First of all, I hope you understand there is a difference--and one that is understood by most--between Muslims and Radicalized Muslims. Of your 1.6 Billion number, it is estimated that 10% is radical...that's still 160 million people willing to kill themselves and any souls unfortunate enough to be standing nearby. So let me ask you...is a suicide bombing ever acceptable? And where do you get off calling this "tabloid" news?
