You are correct. Cheaters should never be beaten up. Cheaters should be shot on sight. Sadly, in today's world, we're supposed to "understand", and that people "make mistakes" So, we have more people cheating, than we have staying faithful. Ain't enlightened progress and understanding wonderful? And, no, I haven't shot any cheater either. I only wish that was how cheating was handled.

People always say "violence never solved anything"...uh heck ya it has! Without violence America would still be under british rule, we'd still have slaves, communism would've taken over the world by now, and Hilter would've wiped out the Jews.
Violence has solved alot...
Now onto your question. Legally he is NOT justified in beating her. Culturally opinions vary on this and in some cultures it is widely accepted. Heck, in Oklahoma there is a law that states on a Sunday a man can take his wife to the courthouse steps and beat her there. Of course, no one follows this law anymore.
All this being said, she should've had the decency to get a divorce if she was going to go around with other men. She acted like a common ho and is lucky that her husband didn't kill her. Not that he would be justified in doing so. She was messing with his trust, his emotions, and so much more. Many times this action has lead to death. She's lucky to be alive really.

I don't know if there would be a justification but you can't say you don't feel his pain. Your friend is a whore and after what he saw I can understand his feelings and anger. He may never trust a woman again all because of her.
There is nothing so bad in a marriage that justifies cheating, divorce is too easy these days.

no. cheating should not be a reason for a man to beat up a woman. in fact, no reason is good enough to use for beating up a woman. sure, the woman cheated. but reciprocating her mistake for violence is just wrong. justifying a mistake by another's does not validate it as something right. women should be treated by respect no matter what. and as in every other relationship, communication, and not violence, is key to working things out. also, in this case, the man could've easily chosen to remain the better person in the relationship. why sink down to her level? he should've just contained his temper and left the relationship with integrity.

We are all guests on this planet yet, violence seems to rule, while your friend was in the wrong, there was no excuse for her husband to go as far as he did, despite how he must have felt.If he had walked away & sought a more peaceful solution he wouldn`t now have a criminal record,I am not saying your friend didn`t deserve what happened she should have known better but, they say what goes around comes around & in the future that might just happen then she can reflect on why.

Whatever, No ONE is Beyond a ASS Kicking. She deliberately tried to hurt him ...so she got we she deserved. He will have to suffer the consequences. but she set this whole thing in motion. she could have JUST BEEN HONEST WITH HIM BEFORE SHE CHEATED. AND ENDED THE RELATIONSHIP. That's the mature thing to do But she chose to be deceptive, a liar and cheat.

I don't think that is a legit excuse to beat someone. Others disagree.
I have read that in some countries it is legal to drag a cheating wife into the street and light her on fire.

I dont know, but if I caught my wife cheatin on me, I would buy the dude a drink, because he is going to need one when she moves in with his ass. I would throw her a good bye party and buy them both a house warming gift. A small price to pay for eternal freedom.

Whether who's in the wrong, NO ONE have the right beat someone up, it's not self defence mind you!.
Your friend's husband is taking the law in his own hands!, I'm sure anyone who feel cheated like him, must be very upset and frustrated, but hey!, control your violent fist, let the law take care.

A man is not justified in ever putting his hands on a woman out of anger...especially not for cheating...the only thing he would have been justified in doing would have been leaving her! Which apparently he should have.....
