My friend is coming round tonight and she has something to tell me. Usually this means she has done something bad and recently she has been flirting lots with this guy lets call him M. My friend has a boyfriend lets call him R who is also my friend. My friend has broken up with R before and snogged M while they were broke up. Anyway last night we had an all girls night in and my friend got drunk and she kept ringing M. I think when I left she might have done something cause I asked her to text me later and she never did (which is odd). Anyway its a very special birthday for R in 2 weeks and if she has cheated on him it will spoil his birthday what can I advise her if she tells me this?

She must make up her own mind, and live her own life, and face the consequences of her actions.

Dont get involved, the only reason R's birthday will be ruined is if she tells him or you tell him, your not responsible for your friends behaviour, and it must be hard as your close to both your friend and R, but stay well out of it or it could result in "shooting the messenger" , if your friend strays so easily then maybe she is not mature to be in a serious relationship.

Well it's up to u, but it must be an awful situation for u to be in. My boyf cheated several times, and most of his friends knew, but they couldn't tell me cos they felt it wasn't their business. But I wished they had cos I wasted quite a few years of my life. So if u feel strong enough is it possible that if ur friend has cheated, could u tell R? He should know really. I would advise her if she was my friend, to sort her head out and stop being selfish and to stop playing with people's lives, and to also make her mind up as to what she wants. x

Fair chances r that she may not tell u at all, cos most folks like to keep such things to themselves. For heavens sake don't go around pestering her to ask. Its her life & if she's made a mistake she should face up to it ( ur so called concern will only make things messier & can also result in a showdown).

Why is she a friend?
Don't you feel guilty for knowing the dirt
she does to her boyfriend by cheating?
She's making you part of it by telling you
about it.
Do you want that?
What if R gets an STD from her cheating
with other men?
I wouldn't want that on my conscious.

WA. This is complicated.

In my opinion, u should just stay away from this friend. She doesn't sound like a trustworthy person.

I think no matter what u advise her it'll be futile. Unless she's too immature to think for herself.

well it is not up to you to make decisions for your friend, if she cheated believe me there was never real love for thew other guy, when you are in a relation no matter how beautifull th eother poerson is you just wont go for it because when you really love someone your eyes are just for this person, so dont get involve in your friends bussiness, if she tells you just listen to her and let her handle her own bussiness ok, of course tell your friend to start exploring her feelings becaus eshe migth not be in love anymore if she done this ok hope this helps

she will get caught eventually...it's not like she's keeping this a secret from anyone, so her mistake will be, being too open about her secret...have a word with her and tell her to stop....then leave it at that...she'll come crying to you when this hits the fan...then you can tell her "i told yo so" what goes round comes round hun....they ALWAYS get caught in the end

advise her that it's her decision what to do about her love life.
you can respect her friendship by listening to what she says but you can't get involved.
your friend "R" is an adult, so it's his choice to remain in a relationship with her or not.
if you get involved you could lose both friends.

tell her wahtever she did was her decision and not to try and make herself feel better by putting it on to you. she makes her own choices in life and if she wants to be with M then have the guts to finish with R first. Then refuse to discuss it any further.
