Panera Bread Company is new to this area. However, business doesn't seem to be going very well. Well, here in Indiana; people like their steak & seem to really like chinese food also. (you can tell that as we have about 20 steak places & about 10 chinese places)
Of course, everybody likes pizza here too!!! However, when people order pizza here; they order from TRADITIONAL places that have been around for years....... like Pizza Hut, Dominos, or Papa Johns. In fact, we have had several pizza places go out of business. These three are probably the only ones that one can rely on being good to eat!!
There are few people who enjoy the bread there or the way their pizza is made. It simply has a different flavor that people here anyway, don't appreciate.

I'm not sure what you're talking about. But in my personal experience, i worked there, and the managers were real jerks. i ended up quitting after 3 months. That's my problem with panera bread company.

i dont think there are any problems,. i work for panera as a baker overnight and we work our asses off to make all that food for the morning. as far as the grasshopers go im not there during the day to see any of the stuff thats going on. and makin mistakes during rushes is common, i mean how would u feel behind that register knowin u have 15 more people in line. i give panera a 5 out of 5 for the 8 months that i've been there.

To the person that found the grasshopper- we use real leaf lettuce from real farms. I doubt it was alive. Sometimes there are grasshoppers in the spring mix lettuce. The lettuce is washed and sealed- like those dole bags at the supermarket. If we see a grasshopper we get rid of the whole bag. Sometimes we make mistakes! I would bet a lot it was not alive.
To the person that said the bread is hard- we have dozens of different types of bread. Try the whole grain white, honey wheat, sunflower or sourdough. They are very soft.
Anyway... The only problem I have noticed is labor. Not enough people are aloud to work.

I've never been there, and I never will go. And this is why: I know someone who found a live grasshopper in her sandwich from Panera. Yucky. Not exactly appetizing, if you know what I mean.

I haven't herard of any problems. From frequently visiting I have not noticed or experienced any problems either. The food is nice, and fresh. The menu is good. The bakery is great. It's generally clean, and well run. . . .

Their bread is too hard, difficult to chew! and overall, the food there is okay, they need to make it better to attract more customers. However, these are just my personal opinions.
