I don't have one, I have 8! My grandmother built the first one (all are1:12 scale) when my grandfather died to keep her busy. I was fascinated as a child and got my first when I was 3. My grandmother bulit another and I built 5 more in the process of my life. My home has a "Dollhouse Room" where we've bulit custom display tables and set up a "village" since there are 2 storefronts in our collection as well. It is such a great way to remember my grandmother (she is now living in a nursing home and suffers from Alzheimers) and a hobby I really enjoy! All of our houses are electrically wired and I always decorate for the seasons. My grandmother was a big traveller as well and she encouraged me to always pick things up on my journeys to add to the dollhouses. I have a birdhouse from Mount Vernon and she bought a bedroom set in China on a trip. I love the houses and think they are just top notch! Expensive hobby but well worth it if you take care of your investment ( =

I must recommend you try www.miniatures.com for the most amazing assortment of dollhouses, furniture, decorative items, electrical supplies, etc.

I had a 1/16 scale Renwal-furnished house as a child. In more recent times I've limited myself to doing individual 1/12 scale rooms in bookshelf-deep boxes.

I can't resist 6" tall action figures among finely upholstered furniture, hand-braided rugs and teensy stitched samplers.

No, but I have an ambition to build a 1/12th scale shop.
I have a small collection of coffins & fittings, etc, & would love to create a scale Georgian era undertakers.. :)

Yes I have a dollhouse. 1/12th scale. I have mine on a half
piece (4X8) of plywood and the plywood is on a turntable on top of a sturdy folding table. I never have to move it.
They are fun and addictive. Right?

My daughter has one that her grandad made for her. It's lovely and all done to detail, but as always she always finds something else to play with.
