Capricorn is cardinal earth - and it has a tendency of seeing things in extremes of yes/no - black/white - on/off, and so on with polarities.

Aquarius is fixed air - and it can be highly passionate about what it believes to be really important to its pov.

Applying this to the qualities of a Moon in a chart, the Capricorn placement would be much less emotional than an Aquarian moon.

Have some friends with these placements. It is interesting to see that the one who is the mother of children has the Capricorn moon. The Aquarian moon gets very passionate about things in her life... radical exploding temper... and did not have children in this life.

The Moon (to react to) in Capricorn (Prudent and Reserved)

Your ability to start new things (cardinal) may be governed (passive) by your emotions (Moon, react to) and you might not feel good unless you are being practical (earth) and holding back your feelings (reserved). You may find that what you are doing is not what you really want (passive), but you will probably carry on anyway (fixed), doing what you have always done (react to) because it has given you the material wherewithal to live well (prudent).

The Moon (to react to) in Aquarius (Indifferent and Unconventional)

Being unemotional, indifferent and doing things differently may have a strong emotional base (react to). You may tend to think about your emotions rather than experience them or express them (air). This may produce some conflict within you. You tend to have fixed emotional feelings (fixed sign) which conflict with your desire to be unattached. Your emotional nature (Moon) may, however, make you a much more likable person.

I would say Capricorn : )

Capricorn... as a matter of fact, I would think a Capricorn Moon is about as unemotional as you can get and not be a mechanical device.

Lets keep it simple. Aquarius is an air sign. Need I say more?
