I'm a bright guy and I know quite a bit, but I'm always trying to learn absolutely everything I can and it is so frustrating because I know I can't. I want to know so much, but the more I learn the more I realize how much more (even more) there is to learn. I will never ever stop learning, but here is one thing I need to learn: how can I learn to accept the best I can do?

learning is a continuous process, it never stop or ceases to stop!.
i would like to ask you a simple question.
what you want to do with all the knowledge which you acquired ?

There is fine line in which we all walk, there is a lot of difference between knowledge and wisdom.
knowledge is to acquire by learning, where as wisdom is to know where you can apply your knowledge.
Knowledge with out wisdom is waste and vices-verse.

This statement doesn't mean to stop learning, but learn what is required to fill you passion, and to answers your own unique questions.
knowledge and wisdom should go hand-in-hand.

All you say about learning is normal thing.

The more you learn, the more you realize how much more there you can learn.
You realize that, and that is a good thing, it means you are improved your way of thinking.

You will never stop learning, thanks God, you are perfectly normal. As a human, you will never stop learning.

The problem is why you can accept the best you can do???
Hmm, you need to know, what is your motivation to learn!
Maybe there are motivations that push you for being not satisfied with your best effort.

Or maybe you have a psycholgical background that make you a person that can not appreciate your best effort.

The clue is : if you like to learn, you learn happily and do not make it as an obsession.

Principal thing in life :
if you've already do the best, than nothing to be regret.
Don't try to be the best in the world, just be yourself, be the best you can do!

Keep learning!

My question is why would you place limits on your ability? You say, "but I'm always trying to learn absolutely everything I can and it is so frustrating because I KNOW I CAN'T....." You can, but you limit yourself with this falsehood. A better question might be, How can I learn something new every day?
or How can I increase my knowledge and understanding?
This false belief of inability to do so is something you should reevaluate and discard.
Best wishes

It doesn't really matter in the English society's much knowledge you have accumulated . They Will be envious and only case their next £ or screw . That's their level and they resent anyone different
On a personal level I cant begin to tell you how may qualifications I have ( look at my Profile ) , but it doesn't increase chance of a job , respect etc .

Think about it as far as we know we do not carry ''Facts'' at ur death , so why break your head about ''Knowledge given the above facts ?

Try to learn only what you feel is gonna be good for you. kind of things useful in your life. I once met someone that was learning about everything in case anyone could ask. And what if none does? too much work to play "toss". And..., what is true and what is false? In the world we live I prefer not to know anything, actually I think we´re manipulated to know ONLY what we have to know. So..... The best choice is to be proud of saying; "The only I know is that I know nothing" (socrates)

From "Collapse of Chaos", comprehension is merely a roadway to metaphor. With metaphor, you will understand your own perception of science.

Comprehend literally means "with grasping". For example, monkey's tails are prehensile, because they can grasp things.

So with comprehension, you're looking at a string of monkey's tails.

Metaphor is tooling up - learning how to learn. Don't take metaphor too far though. This is what cults do and end up with disastrous consequences. Don't let anybody tell you how fast you need to learn in life. Everybody has their own timetable. The only rule I know of in respect to time-keeping is that songs sung to a heavy heart are like vinegar on soda (it makes gas). Respect your heart and turn the music off if your heart is sad, and you should be fine.

You never stop learning, when you stop learning you die. So you are learning daily. Just remember your brain has a large capacity but it is limited in capability through your genetics so its not your fault if you can't learn everything in the whole world. Feel better now?

Stay hungry. Continue to learn. Never settle. You've already realized there's more to know than you can ever know so you're obviously intelligent (only idiots believe they know everything.) Strive for greatness. No one is perfect but you can come as close as you like. Just make sure you love yourself. Don't get discouraged. Be proud of your achievements. Just don't get complacent. Learning & growing keeps you alive so keep at it! You're doing well so far!

i say why bother putting limitations on yourself ?why accept that there are some things you cannot learn? then you are putting yourself in a box. truely great thinker were scientists, writers, philosopher, politicians. you can acheieve what you believe you can. so im not sure i will advise you to accept that you cannot know everything.

(of course you cant but why have that mentality?)

Learn from the Serenity Prayer :

"God grant me the Serenity to accept the things i cannot change.Courage to change the things i can ,and Wisdom to know the difference.
